THE GROOVY PAD POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

1. When we have a private party, does that mean no one else is in the store except our group?
When you have a fully hosted private party, you will have exclusive use of the room of your choice (Princess or Disco) for approximately 30 to 45 minutes and exclusive use of the Diner for approximately 30 minutes. The retail store and the rooms you are not using will still be available for other customers.

2. Can we bring in food for our party?
Yes. However, all food brought in by the customer must be served by the customer due to health department regulations. Cakes brought in by the customer must be cut and served by the customer. Please note: We DO NOT have a knife available to cut the cake.

3. Can boys come to The Groovy Pad?
Although 95% of our customers are girls, boys do enjoy coming to The Groovy Pad as guests and sometimes have their own parties here. We provide costumes, washable fun-toos and hair color for them.

4. Should I arrive early for my party?
We ask that you check in at the front desk approximately 5 minutes before your scheduled party time to receive wristbands for your guests and to drop off any gift/food you have brought for your party. We will have a party counselor greet you and your guests and explain wha twill happen at the front of the store when we are ready for your party.

5. Is a deposit required for my party?
Yes. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold the date and time of your party. If for some reason you can not hold your party on the date and time you have scheduled and you notify us at least 48 hours BEFORE your party, we will allow you one rescheduled grace day for $25 rescheduling fee. The rescheduled party must be held within 6 months of the original party date and is non-transferable outside your family. If you do not show up for your party, your deposit is forfeited. Parties rescheduled due to inclement weather are not charged a rescheduling fee.

6. Is there a damage deposit?
No. However, if you or your guests cause damage or excessive mess in excess of $25 the hosting family will be held responsible.

7. Is there an extra charge for adults or limit on number of adults?
No. There are no additional charges for adults at the children's parties if we are not serving them food. However, for space consideration and capacity limits, we do not recommend more than 1 adult per child. Each room has a capacity limit of 25 people (adults and children). If you would like for us to serve the adults, it is $3/person for cake/ice cream/punch/partyware and we will need to know 48 hours prior to your party ifyou want us to serve the adults. We ask that adults not related to the birthday child wait in the mall hallway in front of our store where benches are provided for their convenience or they may come back to pick up their child after the party is finished.

8. Should suppervising adults attend a child's party?
One adult must be present at every day party for children over age of 6 and two adults for every slumber party. An adult is defined as anyone 18 years of age and older. One adult must be present for every three children ages 2 to 5 for our Princess Pad parties.

9. Is supervision provided for my children?
No. The Groovy Pad is here to provide your children with entertainment and fun for their party, not babysitting services. We are NOT responsible for children that wander off, damage property or injure other children or themselves. This is the responsibility of the parent to make sure that their children act appropriately just as if they were in any other public place. Additionally, since we are inside West Town Mall we are required to abide by Simon Properties rules and regulations which includes but is not limited to creating excessive noise in the facility that disturbs other tenants caused by whistles or other party favors.

10. What if some of my guests arrive late?
We can not guarentee that we can go back and provide all the services for a late guest. For example, if a guest arrives after everyone has already had makeup/hair/nails done and we are working with another party in our retail store, we may not be able to get to the girls hair/makeup/nails until the end of the party. She will have to join the party at the stage that party is at when she arrives.

PLEASE NOTE: ANY SPECIAL REQUESTS MADE OR PAID FOR MUST BE WRITTEN ON THE RECEIPT IN ORDER FOR ANY EXCEPTIONS/CHANGES TO BE MADE TO THE PARTY, TO PREVENT ANY VERBAL MISUNDERSTANDINGS ON OUR PART OR THE CUSTOMER'S PART. ALL CHANGES MUST BE IN WRITING ON CUSTOMER'S RECEIPT AND SIGNED BY A GROOVY PAD OWNER/MANAGER/ASSISTANT MANAGER. IF NO CHANGE ARE NOTED THEN THE PARTY WILL BE HELD AS STATED ON THE CURRENT GROOVY PAD BROCHURE REGARDLESS OF ANY VERBAL ARRANGEDMENT MADE BETWEEN CUSTOMER AND EMPLOYEE.
